@alinawaz

So what happens exactly when you attempt to boot from it.... any errors? Or does it just boot straight into the installed operating system?

I assume you have changed the boot order in the BIOS so that boot from USB is first in the list?

Also, please confirm the exact version of SSR you are using (look in Help/About for version details) as support for Windows 10 was added in a service pack so you may not have a supported version for Win10.

Thanks,

please find the answers:

does it just boot straight into the installed operating system?

> Yes goes straight

I assume you have changed the boot order in the BIOS so that boot from USB is first in the list?

>I am choosing boot from USB

we have System_Recovery_2013R2_11.1.6.55604, i created the recovery disk in USB but not able to boot.

Agha

What USB drive are you using?

Could you also provide some details about the hardware you are trying this on (make, model etc).

Thanks,

how i created USB: first I created the recovery iso file and burned iso image in USB, is it ok?

This is likely to be the problem then. Is there any reason why you did not just create the SRD on USB using System Recovery itself?

USB is not showing in the list and giving following error: can you please advise?

supported USB device not found

(F:)Info ERR_VOL_NOT_ON_PRIMARY_PARTITION (6CA30C10): Volume ['\\?\Volume{6a4150a9-6708-11e7-bf35-eecf1fcb87a9}\'], Drive ['F:'] is not on primary partition of disk ['\\.\PhysicalDrive1']. SRD creation requires the selected volume to be on primary partition.

Could you confirm what USB drive (make/model) you have please?

A workaround to this is to ensure that you are making the USB drive bootable when you burn the ISO to it (outside of System Recovery).

Do you have active support with us? If so, you may be entitled to a free upgrade to VSR 16. If you do, it may be worth upgrading to see if that helps.
