I can not uninstall and BESR2010.

S.O. - Windows Server 2008
Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 2010.

I need a help, my server displays the following message when I do sign it, the BESR was working until last week.

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Custom action
UnistallGenericMountDriver.B24ECCE6_686C_4ee4_8552_094917A5F4A1 script error -2147024894,: Line 4, Column 7 "

Even trying to uninstall the same error appears.
The windows installer 4.5 v2 Windows is ok, check performed.
I tried to perform the procedure uninstall Symantec TECH76289 but in vain.
Follow procedures for verification of virus, it is not infected.

Anyone have any tips or something I can be doing?

If the batch file is unable to uninstall the BESR 2010 you can use the Microsoft FixiT utility to remove the broken installation from the system (Registry Keys).

You can download the Utility from http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall 

You can use the option that says "Diagnose and fix program installing and uninstalling problems automatically" and select "Run Now".

Than Click on "Detect problems and apply the fixes for me (Recommended)" and than click "Uninstalling" From the list of programs select Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery and click Next. 

Follow the prompt and reboot the server. Than try installing the BESR again.
