I need help restoring a folder from a backup

I'm attempting to restore a folder from a backup made with BESR 8.5 where the catalog was corrupted and doesn't exist anymore.  The backup is on a removable drive but BESR doesn't see the backup.  I've searced for an answer but those I found refer to a Symantec knowledge base page that does not exist anymore.  I'd really be greatful if someone could help me recatalog this drive so that I an restore the folder that I need.

I doubt very much that this is possible at all !

What type of backup - volume level or file/folder level?

I am not familar with BESR 8.5 does it have a"Recovery Point Browser" or similar option?

You should be able to locate the files/folders and recover them if it has such a thing.

Yep but if it is a file&folder backup you need the catalog afaik. If it is  volume backup the v2i file should to the trick.

Sorry for the delay.  I used the link provided by Chris Riley above to restore the files.  Worked well and was easy enough with the info provided.  Thanks again!
