Can you provide a screenshot of the folder where the recovery points are stored? We need to see filenames, dates, extension and file sizes.

I have attached the screenshot

The images are stored on a NAS

We keep two images and they were 35gig but now as I said they are over 100gig

Thanks in advance

OK, so can you provide another screenshot - this time of the C drive so we can see total size and used space..

Edit the job and go into the advanced settings - is there a tick in the box next to 'Disable SmartSector copying'?

I have just checked and no there is not a tick in the box next to disable SmartSector Copying.

Do I need to put a tick in the box?

Thanks

No you don't. I was just checking to see if that might be the problem.

Can you confirm the version/build you have here (check in Help/About).

This is the version

8.0.1 is VERY old.

You should run LiveUpdate and get it updated to 8.0.6 - the chances are that this issue was fixed a long time ago. Ideally you should upgrade to SSR 2011 SP1 assuming you have license for that.

Thanks I am just installing the update from LiveUpdate

I will report back with the results of the next system  image

Thanks

Hi Chris

I have not had chance yet to run another backup but I am getting this error email now

Date: 09/11/2011 03:07:07
Notification Type: Warning
Priority: High
Description: Warning AC8F1FA9: An unknown file system has been detected on the mounted volume (C:\).

What does this mean?

Thanks

Are you only seeing this since updating via LiveUpdate?

What file system/volume types are on this machine?

Yes I think it has been since the update

The PC has 1 partition which is formatted NTFS

Ok so I started an image and it failed with this error

Hmm, not good..

Looks like there is something wrong with the disk/partition. Either that or the update did not go too well.

8.0 is an old product. Are you able to upgrade to SSR 2011?

No Unfortunately not.

Do you have a support contract then? If yes, I suggest getting a case open. The other option is to revert back to 8.0.1 to see if this helps - not ideal obviously as it will probably put you back to square one again.

OK thanks for all your help Chris :)
