Only keeping last 2 backups - Backup Exec System Recovery Desktop Edition

Hi,

I have 20 licenses of Symantec BESR and all are configured to do full hard drive backups using standard compression. The schedule is as follows:
1 x full backup every month
1 x delta every weekday.

My question is this, is it possible for BESR to only keep the last 2 full backup sets? I am manually removing older backups to conserve disk space.

I am aware of the option to limit the number of recovery point sets saved for each backup but is it possible to limit the number of full backups kept?

I don't think so. I'd use the "limit recovery points.." feature.

As far as I know that just limits the number of Deltas held.

Wonder if it is possible to script it?

As far as I know it limits the number of full backups AND the incremental backups that belong to the full backup. So if you set the number to 3 you have always 3 full backups and the deltas that belong to the 3 full backups.  What you could do though is to consolidate the incrementals.
