Quick question about performance improvement registry files

Have a question that might be dumb, but just wanted to make sure. This is in regards to the reg files that are supposed to possibly improve performance in backup speeds:

These are to be applied to the client PC and not the backup destination correct? Is there anything we can do to the backup destination side to improve performance as well? I use a Windows Storage Server 2003 as my network storage server. Thanks

Correct, they need to be applied to the client machine (i.e. the machine running the backup).

Thanks Chris. How about anything we can do on the storage server side? Or is that pretty much just run as is?

I'm not aware of anything you can do on the storage server side.
