SR 2011 Recovery Issues - Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware

I have been trying to restore a new system using SR 2011 but continue to run into issues.  The main issue I am seeing is this:

"Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware."

If I click "OK" it will continually boot the system.

This is a new 2008 Server that is being recovered to VMware from a physical machine.  We have been able to recover similar machines to VMware doing the same methods without issues.

It seems there was an issue installing SR 2011 initially but it did install correctly.  It does not fail on the backup jobs.

I have followed the directions of TECH129112 without success.

Any suggestions?

Was the SSR 2011 installation a licensed version that you used? For Restore Anywhere to Work you need a backup image using the licensed version of SSR.

Did you do a Virtual Converstion or did the restore using the SRD?

It is a licensed version of 2011.  We are just doing the SRD.
