Hi there,
a few days ago i upgraded my Win10 Pro version from 1903 to 1909. Since then SR 2013 R2 isn't working anymore.
See the attachement for the message i'm getting.
Is SR 2013 R2 indeed not supported on this Windows10 version?
Must i upgrade my SR 2013 R2 version to a newer version? If yes, how do i do that?
Do i need to pay for a new full version or is there a upgrade path?
Thanks for the help / reaction.
Greetings,
bussie

I have a good article for Software Compatibility List (SCL) and User's guide each System Recovery version. It is below.
System Recovery Master Compatibility List
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100046309
According to the SCL, SR 2013 R2 supports Windows 10 1803 but does not support Windows 10 1903 and 1909.
The latest version VSR 18 SP4 supports Windows 10 1903 but does not support Windows 10 1909.
The next version VSR 21 will support Windows 10 1909.
The VSR 21 release date is not fixed. I guess you can find any announcements on Mar.
To upgrade from SR 2013 R2 to VSR 21, you first need to upgrade to VSR 18 SP4. After upgraded VSR 18 SP4, you will be able to upgrade to VSR 21.

Hi,
thanks for your reaction. I already had the idea that this was the problem.
I think it's a little strange that 1909 isn't supported. It is already out 3 months.
Oke, for the time being i have to use another (freeware) program.
Hopefully VSR21 will be out very soon.

Hi,
an update.
Today i noticed that SR work perfectly on my laptop with Win10 Home 1909.
Can there be such a big difference between the home and pro version that SR 2013 R2 works on the home but not on the pro version?

Basically we support both Windows 10 Home and Pro on VSR. But Windows 10 1909 will be supported from VSR 21.
I think the there are no big differences between Home and Pro.
Regarding the differences, Pro supports BitLocker but Home does not support it.
VSR also support backups for BitLocker-enabled volume.

VSR 21 has been released on 6th Apr. Windows 10 1909 is supported on VSR 21.

Hi,
i've just installed the trial version 21 and i still get the same error as with version 2013.
So i think the version is not the problem.
Errors i'm still getting:
The solution on your site for errorcode E4F3000E doesn't help:
Solution
The issue was seen when the System Reserved partition was backed up or was included in a backup job.
The backups of the other drives seem to work with no errors. It has been observed that disabling the StorageCraft Shadow Copy provider service resolved the conflict and gave successful backup using VSR. It can be done by following the below given steps:
Note: Disabling the StorageCraft Shadow Copy Provider service may result in non-functional of StorageCraft application. Users are encouraged to disable it after understanding its consequences. If the Storage Craft Shadow copy provider services needs to be used, then service can be enabled after the VSR backup completes and should be disabled before the scheduled VSR backup job.

The error is not a Veritas System Recovery issue but a Volume Shadow Copy (one of OS components).
Please try below.
