I have the SRD from SSR 2011 SP1. I boot a Dell Optiplex 790 (with i5-2400 processor and 4GB RAM) from that CD. The "push any key to boot from CD" message appears and, after pushing a key, the "loading windows" progress bar. As soon as the progress bar completes, the system reboots instead of SSR starting.
This same SRD boots as expected on a Dell D820 laptop.
After starting Win 7 Pro 64-bit, I've started Driver Validation from the SRD and it reports drive problems only for the NICs, not for the hard or CD drives.
Does anyone know what might be happening, and how to get around this problem?
Thanks.

Which version have you tried the english or multilangual version. If you did not try the multilingual version give it a try.

I just finished downloading and trying the multilingual SRD. That does work.
I hope Symantec plans to fix the English version!
