Hi,
I'm after any solution to backup instances of SQL Server Express running on Windows 7 or XP clients using Symantec Sytem Recovery Management Solution.
Normally I would use a Sql Server Agent Policy for Netbackup to backup SQL Server running on a Windows 2008R2 server, or use the MS SQL Server Agent to run a maintenance job to backup the databases to an area of disk which I would then use normal O/S backup to copy to tape.
Alternatively in Netbackup I can run a script to stop sql services prior to backup of all local drives and then run a post backup script to restart the SQL Services.
I was wondering what options are available for SSR 2013?
Many Thanks.

You can run a pre backup command in SSR as well.
