Server 2016 direct disk-to-disk copy

Hi All,

I'm just doing some planning before a Server 2016 install, and I'm hoping some of you pioneers can take the arrow out of your backs and help me.

This is my first UEFI install, and I'm reading that several partitions will be created. (I prefer to have everything on a single partition, but I don't yet know if this is possible.) Assuming multiple partitions, is a direct disk-to-disk copy of my OS partions from one RAID 1 set to another possible? The object is to keep a bootable copy of the OS on a separate set of disks so in the event of a catastropohic failure, I can simply boot to the copy. This is how I've operated in the past, and I would like to continue to operate this way. Will I be able to do this?

The Copy My Hard Drive feature in System Recovery currently does not support UEFI based machines.

The alternative is to backup everything, then restore to your other disk.
