I need to restore a linux server red hat enterprise 5, I have the symantec recovery disk and images files are in a Windows 2003 file server, I can boot from cd, I configure network interface, but I dont know how find the images files.
How can I connect to shared resources in the Windows server? I reach server with ping command.
I am basic linux user.

You need to connect the shared resource to a local driveletter and then select the image files.
You can to this by opening a command prompt and typing the following commands
net use G: \\SERVERNAME\SHARENAME /user:USER PASSWORD
The shared resource is then mapped as drive g: and you can browse this drive for the image files.

Are you really running the SRD ? My SRD is a Windows PE based DVD. I have a screenshoot attached. Pls take look.
