Enterprise network where the native VLAN is removed/disabled for security reasons. During a BMR a server is booted from the Symantec CD - network connectivity is required - the "images" are stored on a centralized server. When configuring network connectivity there is not an option to define a VLAN tag. With no native VLAN on the network all traffic not "tagged" is dropped. The server booted from the Symantec CD is unable to connect to the server with the backup images to restore over the network. Is it possible to configure the network settings to include a VLAN tag in Symantec System Restore 2010 or System Recovery 2011? Thank you.

Bill,
802.11q is not currently supported at this time. Please add it to the Ideas section of the Symantec connect forums so product managers who monitor that area will picked up such the enhancement request. If you are familiar with WinPE the following link may be of some assistance to you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975483
