Symantec System Recovery using USB 3.0 via non-WIndows USB or DVD boot?

Can the latest version of SSR  support USB 3.0 to do Bare Metal Recovery from non-Windows restore mode?

My environment is Windows and MAC and I would like to boot to a device like a USB 3.0 external drive and download the recovery image from it.

Are you saying that you want to boot off the SRD and then access recovery points that are stored on a USB 3 drive?

If yes, you need to be aware of this TechNote: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH154302.

As you'll see, we currently do not support USB 3 via the SRD. However, you may be able to get it working by attaching the drive to a USB 2 port.
