Please confirm what is the operatong system on the laptop ..
Also would it be possible to ensure that we have SP1 installed for SSr 2013 via live update and attempt a new backup ?

I installed System Recovery 2013 from my earlier save. I let Live Update run and update it. Still failed with volume shadow.
Is there a place to download SP1 separate from the Live Update? I could not determine if the installed SSR 2103 is SP1 or not. I show version 11.0.1.47662

Do a help>about. The version will be 11.0.1.47662. Does the error occur when trying to image some of the special partitions (WinRETools, EFI, etc.)? If so, for this particular issue, we are investigating it. Follow the post above.
