System Recovery 18 -- Is there a desktop edition?

I own VSR Desktop Edition v16.  I see VSR 18 is available, but I can't find any reference to a desktop edition when I search to purchase the product.  Does a Desktop Edition still exist?  If not, which version should be purchased for my local PC backup?

 

If my support license has expired, can I simply purchase a one year renewal from CDW and then download the latest version?

Yes, there is still a desktop edition - mentioned on Page 4 of this https://www.veritas.com/content/dam/Veritas/docs/data-sheets/V0588_GA_DS_Veritas_System_Recovery_18....

As for renewal, I'm no expert in that area... I would assume so but probably best to speak to CDW and ask them. You can download a trial version here if you are interested:

Thank you for the response.  I own VSR 16 Desktop Edition.  I found a CWG product listing where I can renew maintenance for the desktop product.  There is a separate product to renew expired or unexpired maintenance agreements.  Once the maintenance is in place I believe I can then upgrade to VSR 18 for no additional charge.  I'm waiting to see if CWG or Veritas emails me a new license key or if there is some other process for completing the upgrade.

Yes, that's correct - if/when you have active maintenance, you can upgrade to latest version with no additional cost.

Little help please.  I placed an order with CDW for maintenance on 8/12/2018 and provided all of the account numbers for my existing Veritas entitlements, but as of today, my Veritas account does not reflect the purchase.  I've spoken to the sales rep at CDW numerous times and it appears as they've done everything possible to communicate with Veritas to get the order processed.  When I called Veritas sales/renewals I've left messages since no one ever answers the phone.  Can you route this issue to someone who can help?
