System Recovery 2010/2011 Server 2008 R2 and Hyper-V

I have 2 servers, both running Server 2008 R2 and 2/3 Virtual Servers on each using Hyper-V. When System recovery 2010 or 2011 is installed the host OS, and tries to perform a backup of the System drive, the Server will reboot and sometimes give BSOD.

If I stop the Hyper-V service the backup completes successfully, so it seems to be a issue with Hyper-V running when a backup of the host takes place.

Is this a known issue and is a workaround available?
