System Recovery 2013 Installation issue with License Key

Hi,

My Client bought System Recovery 2013 in May 2013 and did not install it on the server. Then a very clever "IT in house guy" downloaded the trail version in May 2015 and installed that on the server and used it for a while. Yesterday the client asked us to install his version on the server so , we uninstalled the trail versuion , download his version from the Licessing Portol and installed that.

When we restart the server when the screen for the System Restore Comes up it tells us that a trial version is installed. I have tried every think .

Can someone please point me in the right direction as to how to tell the system that his is a new installation.

OK, the license you have is for SSR 2013 SBS which is why it is not accepted - you confirmed you are running Windows 2012 Standard.

You'll need to contact customer support (not Technical Support) to get this changed:

https://support.symantec.com/en_US/contact-us.html

Bit confused. Are you saying that the license is not accepted?

If you go to Help -- About -- Change License Key, you should be able to add the license in.

Yes it will say this is not the right License for this product

This is what i get when i try and input the License key:

 

Info 6C8F1C25: Cannot activate this product using license key 03-E294-xxxx-xxxx. The license key is not valid.

Please enter the correct license key.
---Cannot install license.
----Error EC8F17C8: Invalid serial number: 03E294xxxxxxxx.

What operating system are you trying to install the license on?

What version of SSR is shown in Help -- About?

Please send me a copy of the license by direct mail via these forums (do NOT post the license in this thread) - I will then check to see if you have the correct license or not.

The OS is Windows Server 2102 Std

and the Version is 

Symantec System Recovery 2013 Version 11.0.2.49853

are you Symantec Support?

Hi Chris,

I have the some problem with the license key.

I try to re install SSR2013 and when I active the license the error message is:

Cannot activate this product using license key 01-E301-xxxx-xxxxxx. The license key is not valid.

I try to install this file,  Sym_System_Recovery_2013_11.0.2.49853_Multilingual_Product

Could you help me???
