Running SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 11sp3. I create my boot CD and then backup the /boot and root. I do the restore to the new hardware but then the reboot fails and I get a GRUB message in the top left corner and I can only power off the server. I have tried using a raid 5 set of disks and a single disk. So where to from here, any ideas will be appreciated
The restore anyware feature (i.e. restore to different hardware) is unfortunately not included with the Linux version of SSR. Please refer to Page 44 of the user guide:
