UEFI bios & GPT disk P2V failed with SSR 2013 R2

Hi

I tried to covert my physical server(X3650m4 + win2012) to virtual server(hyper-v) by SSR 2013 R2.  The covert process worked, but when the virtual server booted, it failed.

I wonder if SSR 2013 R2 support P2V for  the server with UEFI bios & GPT disk.  Thank you.

SSR 2013 supports UEFI. What error do you receive upon server reboot ?

And what version of Windows is running on your Hyper-V server?

I use Win2012 , Hyper-v 3, but not R2 version.

There was no error where  virtual server was running , and nothing appeared.

I rebooted the virtual server and it was still the same situation, like the screenshot.

I've tried P2V on 2 Win2012 servers with MBR disk, it worked.

So I guess it's related toUEFI bios & GPT disk.

Yes, I think you are correct.

According to the above, only 2012 R2 Hyper-V supports UEFI.
