Unable to update BESR 2010 automatically to the internet

Hi,

Why my BESR always point to the SEP live update server ?

can anyone guide me how to make this server update self automatically to the Internet ?

Eventhough I have followed this article: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH129816&key=53845&actp=LIST

and I use my Proxy without credentials (in my IE) but how come the update is always failed and point to the SEPM server (yes I do have SEP v11 .0.5 in this server as well) ?

oh, SEP first and then BESR the second.

I tested here with BESR 2010 and SEP 11.0.6 and do not see the same issue as you are seeing.

How many machines are you seeing this on?

Dushan,

IIRC BESR cannot be updated automatically andthis is the same as BE 2010 as well since they are critical software which is use for backing up the server.

Therefore you must do it manually.

This is wrong. You can use LiveUpdate with both BE and BESR.
