Hi,
first my environment: SSR 2013 R2 SP4 Server, Windows 2012 R2 Standard 64 Bit Server".
The legacy mode for older clients is activated.
I would like to use one license key for the SSR 2013 client version 11.0 and one for SSR 2013 R2 client version 11.1.
The requirement is: All computers from the active directory, no computer/server with an server license, license for SSR2013 or for SSR2013 R2.
The both license keys will created under "configuration policies/All Client License"
The license key for the old version 11.0:
- Start with Computer THEN: exclude computers not in Group ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAINS
- Start with Computer THEN: exclude computers in Filter: All server computers with Symantec System Recovery Plug-in Installed
- Start with Computer THEN: exclude computers not in Filter: Windows Computers without latest version of Symantec System Recovery 2013 Service Pack installed.
The license key for the new version 11.1:
- Start with Computer THEN: exclude computers not in Group ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAINS
- Start with Computer THEN: exclude computers in Filter: All server computers with Symantec System Recovery Plug-in Installed
- Start with Computer THEN: exclude computers in Filter: Windows Computers with latest version of Symantec System Recovery 2013 Service Pack installed.
The issue is, that the new clients get first the false old license key. That's documented in the Logs of Symantec System Recovery on the client. Also the start time of the software delays. After about 5 minutes the client gets the correct license key.
