I've been using a USB SRD of BESR 2010 to create backup images without a problem. I usually use it to create base images for laptops, etc. One problem that I haven't been able to solve is that I cannot restore an image when booted from the USB. The restore appears to go ok, but on reboot, it always comes up with an inaccessible boot device or some similar message. If I boot from an SRD CD, it works flawlessly. In speaking with Support about a year ago, I was told that booting from USB does something with the partition tables (or something like that) and it cannot be done.
Has anyone gotten this working?
