Good Day!
I was wondering if it's possible to restore my VSR16 Server in different computer unit ( only application itself and the configuration will be the same ). I've come up with this scenario because what if, one day my VSR server will blown up? And i need to restore my VSR16 Server's configuration and the application itself to a different unit and continue serving my deployed Agents. How is it possible? Any speculation or thoughtful ideas? I was thinking also about Bare Metal Restore but i do only need the application and configuration restoration only. Thank you have a nice day!

You mention 'deployed agents' - are you talking about the VSR Management Solution here?
The way the restore works, you cannot just restore back your applications/configuration. If your server 'blows up', you need to restore the entire server (or just the system partition).

thanks sir for replying , as i'd mentioned "Deployed Agents", im not about management solution, im about for standard deployment using the VSR console that we can reach also using VSR Remote Management but that feature was up for only for 100 nodes (units) compared to Management Solution that can go up to couple of thousand. (Am i correct about this?). I was thinking also comparing Catalog Restoration from NetBackup and Backup Exec on this problem. I think there's non-equivalent feature of VSR compare to Catalog Restoration

Yes, that is correct - the Management Solution is for larger environments.
I am not sure what you mean regarding your query about catalogs. Can you explain in more detail please?

As per catalog recovery, it can cataloged apps, folders or any entity within the recovery points on more organized resources reference that can we use for faster recovery (e.g Apps with their configuration , etc.) << (can you correct me about this). On analyzing the scenario, i think i found the answer. And also, thanks for answering of all my queries. God Bless and more power.

In case of disaster recovery the best method to recover server is through System Restore Disk (SRD). This disk will include everything which is required for recovery (except recovery point / backup images):
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000006864
SRD can be created using following methods :
Bottable USB : https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.HOWTO56024
ISO for DVD : https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000023886
There is no need to replicate/copy any settings to another server if you have the SRD. If you would like to recover a server to completely different hardware then use "Restore Anyware feature" :

Thanks and Regards,
