Hi,
I have VSR 2018 installed on 2 machines. Does SMTP mail notification work? I have tried to get notifications working on these machines with no success. i have tried every combination of settings I can think of with no success. In fact, 50% of the time when I click Ok or Apply, VSR 18 freezes and I have to reboot or use task manager to kill VSR. SMTP Notifications worked perfectly on VSR 16 SP2.
Thanks!
CQ

As you suggested, I opened a support case and they referred me to:

The SMTP server name now requires a prefix. Once I added that to my SMTP server name the "freezing" stopped and email notifications started working. Hopefully when SP1 is issued the instructions/help for the SMTP server name will be amended to reflect the need for a prefix.
Thanks!

Yes, there is an issue with SMTP and VSR 18, details here:

I would recommend you open a support case as this is still being worked on.
