Can the backup fail when the OS NATIVE DEVICE changes?

 

ex.)

/dev/sda -> /dev/sdis   (root space)

 

System Info.

OS : Redhat Linux 6.3

VSR : VSR-L 18

As I mentioned before, I would expect (although never tested it) the backup to fail if the device name changes.

Yes, I would expect the backup fail in this scenario.

You would either need to modify the job, or create a new backup job for the new device.

I have been using cron to apply the script. It can not be backup when the os native device changes.

backups affected if the root native device changes?
