Windows 10 Recovery Problem

Harley51

I'm running 2013 R2 SP4 11.1.4.55331. If I do a backup on both my Windows 10 machines and try to recover it tells me I need to repair the operating system. But it can not repair the problem. If I do a windows 10 backup there is no problem.

Surely the backup taken doesn't have all the drives included.

Send me the screen shot of backup taken.

Go to Run or Manage backup -> Edit Settings -> Send screen shot

This (https://www.veritas.com/community/sites/default/files/Capture2_21.PNG) is most likely your problem.

Is there a reason why you are not including these drives? As it says on the screen, related drives should be included to ensure a successful recovery. By default, they are included.

Their loaded independently on two separte drive. I have them isolated from each other. The Windows 10 fails with a Winload.exe error. When I loaded Windows 10 I disconnected my Windwos 7 drive so Window 10 couldn't take overr the boot loader. I use EasyBCD 2.3 to boot between the two OS's.

The Windows 10 fails with a Winload.exe error.

Yes, that is probably because you have not backed up (and restored) the partition containing the BCD (Boot Configuration Database).
