Hi all.
I've installed successfully VSR 16.1 on a Server 2012 R2 Essentials and activated the license.
The licence is a VSR Small Business Server.
But now i've upgraded to Server 2016 Essentials and ... the license is deactivated
If I try to reactivate it with the official license it's rejected : Invalid license !
I assume that the 2016 Essentials version is not recognized as an SBS version. Is this planned in the near future?
Thanks.

I agree, that's what it sounds like.
Could you send me a private message and include your license key so that I can test with it here?

Thanks for providing your license key. Strangely, this actually works on my 2016 Essentials server ..
I wonder if the upgrade caused a problem because my server it not an upgrade.
Can you run the following exe, then provide the debug.txt file it creates:
\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\Utility\SmeDump.exe

Here is the file.
Beware, the Windows Server is a french version.
Maybe this is important.
Thank you.

That looks fine to me, it does show it's an SBS server.
You could try the following, which *may* help:
From a cmd prompt (run as admin), run the following batch file:
\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\Fixinstall
The server will however require a reboot after this has completed. You could then try and add the license following the reboot.

The problem seems resolved
This noon i've made all available Windows updates and of course rebooted the server.
And now the license is activated again.
Sorry to have you wasted time
Thanks for your help.
Best regards.
