backup job fails - Error E4F3000E

We get the error message: snapshot failure while using volume shadow copy service . please check application event log for VSS errors. error code: endcreate snapshot set (-2147212303) . except this error message the software claims that D: drive has no backup points, which is wrong.,

We tried to google it, but the problem persists. I don't think there is a problem of fragmantation, since the computer shows 0% fragmantation for all drives. I don't think it's a problem of not enough disk space for the system reserved partition either, since the computer shows 70% free out of the 100M.

Does anyone has an idea ?

Thank you

Check that the VOLUME SHADOW COPY service is enabled. Enabling snapshots on a volume is not required for VSS to work, but enabling does enable that service. Set the service to manual, then start it to make sure it starts. It will turn itself on and off as needed.

The document that you referenced is for SSR.  What relevance is it to NBU?

Yes, My reference is for SSR because this error related to SSR and it's open in SSR and when you read the article you will find the same issue that user told.
