Hi all,
beeing able to access SSR management again (see here https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ssr-manager-console-not-working-properly#comment-7757461), I noticed that one domain controller has this problem:
sometimes during a backup it hangs: the backup successfully completes, in fact if you go to the backup advancment tab, you see no activity, but the icon in the windows bar still looks like the process of backup is running, showing a 5% percentage.
Because of this, when a new scheduled backup should run, it is not run because the program says that there is another backup process running. This stops the pc from backing up completely.
My actual solution is t manually restart the SSR 2011 service, but this is not good solution, I cannot waste my time like this...any help?

What version of Windows?
What version (including service pack level) of SSR?

the client is SSR 2011 SP1 (as I'm not able to make client automatically update to SP3, see https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/upgrading-ssr-2011-sp1-clients-sp2-using-ssrm#comment-7757351)

I would suggest manually upgrading to SP3 (will require a reboot) to see if that helps.
