geting incorrect version of remote agent when doing a system recovery

using windows sbs 2003. Want to do a full (manual disaster recovery (thanks Hywel Mallett )) onto a backup server.  Getting an error that says 'error occurs whil connecting to the backup exec remote agent'.  I can see the versions are different, but I would rather not put the backup server on the network to do a live update.  Is there a way to copy the correct version from the main server to the backup (or get around the error).   Thanks...  Dean Hoffman

What version/build number of Backup Exec System Recovery option is installed on each server? If the environment does not permit the use of the Liveupdate feature, you can obtain the updated build of this product by logging into https://fileconnect.symantec.com website and download the most current build.  You then could install this updated build locally (e.g. at the system directly and not through a RDP/TS session) on the system having the older version; preferably after uninstalling the older build and rebooting first. Once both systems have the same version, you should then be able to use either system’s console to schedule the other agent to run a full baseline backup job.
