I have an old Norton ghost backup image on a CD, and when I tried to open it
in ghost explorer 11 it gives me a hard disk icon with the word " unknown "
next to to it and no files appears on the right hand side.
I really need to extract these files since they are a testing lab facility
software and this image unfortounatily is the only backup we have since the
original hard disk is damaged and we replace it with a new one.
we really need to extract the software from the ghost image but we don't know
how?
please provide us with the tools and solutions to do so
many thanks in advance

You could try downloading the evaluation version of SSR and try to open the Ghost files (http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Ghost/Can-SSR-read-old-Ghost-Save-amp-Restore-images/m-p/990373#M1959)

I made integrity chek on the image through norton ghost 2003 and it passed successfuly , i tried to restore it but no files were extracted on the target drive. please if you have any idea to fix this problem it will be appreciated.

What was the error message when you try to open the ghost image with SSR?
