All links pointing to content created in Symantec Connect do not redirect to Veritas/VOX.
The excellent collection of Nuts and Bolts blogs created by Abdul Rasheed are non-functional as they all point to Symantec URLs.
Pictures in the blogs are also lost.
There are understandably thousands of these broken links.....
I reply here rather than create a similar thread.
I would like to hear from a Veritas employee what would be the right track to get broken links fixed. I chatted with support staff about getting links fixed in this page: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000072903
I don't see chatting up support everytime I come across a very viable solution for this, it's not robust.
These are actually 2 separate issues.
My post is meant for VOX Admins about missing links due to the Symantec Connect -> Veritas VOX community migration.
The only way that I am aware of to request fixes/updates to TNs is to use the 'SURVEY' section on the right of the screen.
My personal experience using this route has resulted in minimal success... Unfortunately....
@Marianne I've personally manually updated Abdul's post with the proper links. Going forward this is something we're going to have to ask the users to do themselves if they are still active community members. The same goes for broken images.
Some of Abdul's blogs contain images, but those are now missing, e.g.:
Abdul is unfortunately no longer with Veritas and thus cannot fix the pictures himself.
I would love to assist, but I do not have editing rights and do not know how/where to find the links to the pictures in order to pull them in.
This particular blog is still very valid but is pretty useless without the pictures/diagrams....
@vjuhola It seems that all TNs related to NBU 7.6 and earlier are in the process of being removed (without redirecting to the current version).
I did a search in the NetBackup Support landing page:
And found this TN where all links seem to be working : http://www.veritas.com/docs/000052931
Another example of broken links:
I guess the same will apply to ALL legacy videos.
Keeping these posts / blogs / video links around simply makes no sense...
