Order of replies

The order of replies to a post is not making sense.

The 1st reply is listed at the bottom of the list with latest reply directly under the opening post.

One now has to remember to go right to the bottom and then move up to read through responses.

I found it! 

Under My Settings I found it under Preferences -> Linear Layout.

I have tried all sorts of options and I still find the entries seem to be out of sequence.

For example - looking at this post:
