Thanks CY! Put me on the right track. Needed to replace /etc/vx/vrtslog.conf with one from another media server. I suspect it happened when upgrading Veritas Storage Foundation. Both servers have recently been upgraded.

I realized 5 minutes after posting that it was using the index number from NetBackup. Nothing to do with the OS. Sorry to waste time. Thanks for the commands, they may come in handy.

I get the message when trying to add the new directory to the Catalog policy backup selection. I select New Backup Selection... and put in the new directory and receive the error.

Thanks Bob. Unfortunately, they don't address Netware. The format appears to be a little different, I have reverse_name_lookup = 0. I assume that 0 indicates "ALLOWED" as that is the default and I haven't touched the bp.ini file.
