Server 2008 x64, Backup Exex and CPS 12.5
I've been fighting with this problem for a long time and no one has been able to assist me on it. Besides a work around that is time consuming and frustrating.
Almost on a daily basis CPS will backup a smal...
Every now and then CPS messes up with small files and creates monster 260+ gig files out of 6kb files. I'm actively monitoring my server and correcting these file errors as they occur. However sometimes I don't catch one and they end up getting pushe...

Thank you very much for posting this! I've installed the hotfixes so hopefully this does the trick. I'll be thrilled if I don't have to watch the system like a hawk every day!

Once I restart the server it should come back as if nothing changed.
Am I on the right track?
I have had this happen again but with 2 different files this time. Both files should be under 2mb but are showing up on my CPS server as over 200 gigs a piece.
Anyone ever have this happen?
Well I actually managed to figure this one out. I uninstalled SEP11 and everything started working well again. Almost like I turned on the turbo mode.
My tape job last night ran quickly and CPS is running at a great clip. Can't complain now!
Now the server is telling me it has erors and needs chkdsk run. I ran chkdsk and it's still giving me trouble. Takes 3 minutes to expand the resource tree to test restore a file.
