Correct. At this point I do not believe I have a BE issue, but I am hoping that someone on the forum has had a similar issue and could guide me as to how they might have fixed it.

No I dont not but even if I unlock the library, nothing seems to happen and the tape remains stuck. I think it might be because all my devices are using the same switch and they should be zoned to a single initiator.

Finally I have initialized everything and all the tapes are showing and everythying is good! Now I run my backup jobs and I am right back where I started!!! The tape is in the drive shown in use and no jobs are running..... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

Ive re-seated all cables and even run diagnostics with my library technician on the phone looking at the logs. ALl the hardware is checking out to be OK. Now I am again being pointed back to software. ANy other suggestions?
