Does anyone know where I can find the Approved process for Backing Up and Restoring Exchange 2003 databases.
Can I use GRT? Or do I have to it old school and mount a RSG?
Thanks

My company just received a DL2200 Symantec 2010 from Dell.
My question is how should I carve up the MD2200? I have 12 drives at 500gb each.
Do I create 1 array or 2?
Thanks

So I can restore the entire Storage Group to a RSG just fine. I can't restore individual Mailboxes or Emails.
So can I do Individual Mailboxes with Exchange 2003?
Thanks

Thanks for the info:
Does anyone know if ESM will install on a 2008 Server x64?
From Admin DOC:
For Exchange 2003, Microsoft Exchange System Manager utility must be installed.
Thanks
Yeah I might switch it up,
I know most of the B2D data will be exchange 2003 backups.
Next will be file server data that should do well on Dedup.
And then the is DLO backups.
Can you run Dedup on DLO?

My goal was to do b2d and Dedup.
I guess I am going to split the array into 2 partition.
Array 1: 6 drives @ 2328 gb
Array 2: 5 drives @ 1862 gb
1 Global hot spare.
So I would place the b2d on Array 1 and Dedup on Array 2.
Sound good?
