Facing the same issues here, I have some clients downgraded to 8.5, is a more stable release than the 9.x's up to now to my opinion. Release date for SP2 is October 7-th (2010, ), subject to change (Earlier? guess not. Later? please not).

Installing without selecting the Lightsout option was a solution for me. Database wasn't created. Now it works.

Hi, I'm encountering the same problem here, is anybody able to help please? Install done on W2003 standard edition SP2 with IIS and ASP.net Added dotnetfx 3.5 and ran a succesfull install, but no go afterwards. Thanks for any reply.
