I ran a "test Run" and it failed with no media. The I immediately ran an inventory and when it was complete the tape was now visable. How to a use BECMD to fun an inventory daily? Thanks.

Thank you. I know what's on the tape from previous weeks, so i do not want to run a inventory. This is not complicated. Swap tape, walk away, job runs/finishes swap tape again.

Just to clarify. I see no reaon to run an inventory. I simply want to swap tapes and not worry about it until the next day. So when the job starts it will detect the tape, then run the job, correct?

Well my purpose for the post is not to do anything but pop in a new tape. I have just swapped tapes and will wait until 7PM for the job to start to see if in fact the tape is detected and the jub runs. Thanks.
