DeDuplication Engine Service PReventing logon to the server

When we boot our MMS the DeDuplication Engine Service stays "Starting" and prevents logon to the server. We cannot stop the service, and a reboot just repeats the problem. BackupExec 2012 and Windows 2008 Rs 64 Bit.

We run BackupExec 2012 and Exchange 2010. Trying to backup the server to our De-Duplication storage area on our Equalogic SAN. I have setup a one off backup job to backup EVERYTHING.   The backup job starts at speeds around 3000 MB/min, but tails off...
