If you don't want to eject manually, you can use the bpend_notify scripts to call a script that initiates an eject. You can use the vmchange command to eject.

If your media server is a Windows hosts, you could use a third party tool to mount the tape and restore. Try searching for Aelita now owned by Quest. It actually interfaces with NetBackup. They've also got a demo you can download.Good luck.

I agree. The netbackup GUI hasn't changed much as far as navigation and such.Netbackup on Unix performs better and more stable. But, the biggest reward from the stand point of Netbackup is troubleshooting.
