I've been asked to restore a VM and it's something I've never done before. I'm going throught he admin guide, but I thought I'd add a request for assistance here so I can get this done the first time.

Deleted a VTL on our D2D and rebuilt it. Trying to connect it to the existing drives on NetBackup. I go in to add a tape drive and click browse. No existing devices show up on any of my media servers. What am I missing?
In a bit of a crunch due to a D2D failure. I'm moving backups to some temporary storage and need to back up files with at last modified date within the last two months. This is not an option in client properties. Is there a way to do this?

Media Server is Windows 2008 r2. Other robots on the media server are fine. Cannot inventory robot. On Media Server, ran diagnostic of robot:

Found the new drives in tpautoconf. If I try to add to the existing, I get an error about serial number mismatch. All I can think of it to delete the existing drives and recreate them.
A variety of mount requests disabled because robot going to down state, could not get serial number, I/O errors, etc.
We have VTLs, so not really sure how to restart the robots. We've always had separation of powers and recently the separate powers...
