Hmm, person who manages ESX also says it takes 10-15 minutes to do the sanpshot. Is this the same every where,I am confused.

We donot do VMWARE agent backups for database VM's, most of VM's are used application servers. Thanks for pointer to ESX, i will catch hold of support guy to test it out.
