I purchased 7.6 couple years ago and never used it. I didn't see a clear document that said you can install 7.7 new,not upgrade from 7.6. Is this possible It would be easier now to just install 7.7 than go through upgrade process.

The host is only performing the hyper-v function. Virtual machines are located on attached storage. Is there a better method for hyper-v host backup and recovery, small environment like 6 hosts?

Unfortunetly It would be hard to make those changes now to the VM. What If I just take a file backup of the OS vhdx (C: for windows) of the Virtual Machines, so at least that way I can make new VM and use the vhdx backed up as the OS disk. ...
