I'm using a debian desktop, but it worked fine before the upgrade. The problem was the UTF in LANG var. Thanks anyway!

That was exactly the problem! I just changed the LANG from en_US to es_LA and now is working! Now I just need to make the changes permanent. Thanks a lot!
