I started with Backup Exec in the Lake Mary (FL, USA) office back in early 2000 when the Tech/dot-com bubble was still young, carefree and about to pop. Thankfully I had found a great team (it had just been acquired from Seagate by VERITAS) and worked my way through the support org until 2006 when I shifted from the Backline Support team to Engineering. After showing a bit of aptitude for project management, communication, and just the right dash of crazy, I was offered the job of Beta Program Manager. I then discovered a passion for the social aspect of Beta recruitment and communication, and was lucky enough to be offered my current role of Social Media Strategy for what I probably illegally call the B2B Support Services group (everything but Norton).
