Are the remote agents on each server using exactly the same service account? Does the service account have full access to the databases on each server?

After you made that autoconsolidate setting did you give it a clean directory to backup to I have had issues with old sets in the directory in the past.

Have you got the latest patches installed, tape drive firmwares?Are you using symantec drivers or proprietry, you should be using symantec
