Sorry I fogot about this post as it did take 48hrs to backup, all is fine I did a restore from shadow copies and the directory is correct.

Yes that makes total sense, i have started another backup including the shadow copies.
Just have to wait 24hrs now to test the restore.

Yes your correct it is a SAS cable, As I’m waiting for the correct Tapes for my drive I did a full backup over the network to another server and 2TB took 7 days. So anything like 6hrs would be a massive relief.
