BIOGRAPHY

Mike Palmer is Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Veritas. Palmer is responsible for driving Veritas’ overall product direction, strategy, and organization. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Veritas’ Solutions for Data Insight and Orchestration organization, where he drove the strategic vision for bringing Veritas Information Availability and Insight solutions to market. Palmer has extensive leadership experience across diverse roles and technology areas, with companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 20. He joined Veritas from Seagate Technologies, where his responsibilities as Senior Vice President and General Manager (GM) of the Cloud Services business unit included engineering, product management, sales and marketing, service and operations, and profit and loss management. Prior to Seagate, Palmer spent nine years with Verizon in various leadership positions. These ranged from Vice President and GM of Cloud Information Technology Solutions and Security, to leading Global Engineering, Product Strategy, and Alliances and Chief Marketing Officer. Before that Palmer held leadership positions at Totality Corporation and Xuma. Palmer holds a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Biology from the University of Rochester in New York. He is a fluent speaker of Spanish and Swedish languages.
